Hey all, welcome to my channel! The 1 and only, MistrMopar! If you have followed me for any length of time you know this channel is largely made up of motorsports videos, mostly truck pulling events that I attend, as well as some mud runs, burnout contests and an occasional DIY how to video for common or pesky automobile repairs. I cant express my gratitude for the ever growing audience and subscribers I am receiving! It makes it all worth while to see others enjoy my videos as much as I do! I am a resident in Maine and all of my videos are filmed in Maine, at the fairs, race tracks, and other venues where motorsports events are being held. This page is nearly 10 years old and has hit 10k subs! That is awesome! Thank you to the fans and audience for your ever growing support! It is encouragement to keep it up!
Thanks!

Nissan Xterra Automatic Transmission Filter Replacement How To DIY Pan Drop
Просмотров 100Месяц назад
I've had people ask and I've had people also say that these Nissan Xterra does not have a removable filter. I know some of the earlier models do not but ours is a 2008 and as you can see in the following tutorial it does have a replaceable filter and from my experience it did wonders for how smooth the transmission shifts. the only tools needed are a 10mm ratchet and a socket. and of course you...

Always empty it before you fill it
Thing sounds incredible!
If you connect your phone into the usb instead of using Bluetooth, the sound & bass is way better. I think only works on 2010 and up
This wasn't a phone or connection. Just the stereo.
Highly recommend you 3800 guys change to 180 or even 160°
I like to wrench a little here and there but am ok with leaving certain things to the professionals when beyond my scope. It may seem like a simple job but many still benefit from your knowledge. I was calling shops too until I looked into it and saw how simple and straight forward it is. Appreciate you for the video, saved me some time and money. Definitely something I can do. 👊👍
Thank you for taking the time to respond! I'm glad to hear this is beneficial and that was the intent.
I might be the only one who got confused by this but, when you say to put the AC recharger thingy on the "HIGH" side, you mean the higher of the two pipes, or whatever. On my truck that is labeled "L" for "low pressure" and the other is labeled "H" for high pressure. That confused me for a second but my adapter only fit the correct side anyway, so anyway, just thought i would point that out for anyone else like me. Thanks!
I guess I figured demonstrating and showing it while saying it would eliminate confusion. But yes the L and H should take care of any. All vehicles are the same, fill the high.
Dam... I appreciate you sacrificing your cap for us
😅 no problem! I never did find it either 🤦♂️
I tried this today, but it had 5 wires. I tried it with the 2 thickest ones, nothing happened. Could it be the other thinner ones that power it?
I ran into that once and I just kept trying different combinations until I found 2 that work. You may be able to search online for a wiring diagram to determine which 2 are power and ground.
Shit I'm going to try this at the weekend. Just bought a van with one window that won't open and one that won't close. Need to get the passenger window shut so I can drive the thing around (it rains all the time here in Scotland). I only have Makita 18V batteries. Do you think that would work?
It definitely will. Any type of battery will work just need the + and - that will give you a definitive answer as to whether the motor is good or not
@@MistrMopar excellent, thanks. I have the window taped up with a plastic sheet for now. Will try this on Saturday.
Yep. Worked. Van is now secure and all my tools loaded in from the car. Me and my car's suspension are awfully grateful. Thanks!!
Yo is dat twin turbo
No turbos at all. The Gs have dual throttle bodies and dual intakes.
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate your generosity in sharing your knowledge!
You're welcome! Thank you for taking the time to comment. I greatly appreciate that and the positive feedback!

Thank you. That's a nice truck! I have a 2004, with low miles. Awesome trucks, I wish Toyota still made them.
No problem glad to help. Having low miles is awesome! Mine is plain jane, manual windows and locks but I love it. 196xxx miles and runs like new. Even the oil is still super clean when I change it every 5000. I'll run mine until it rots out. I personally like this generation best, much better than the newer ones.
You may have done this but a couple observations. Run car a few minutes down the street to warm up oil so it flows out as much as possible. Put a little oil on the seal of the oil filter - hand tight. 3/4 rule is fine but observe the next couple days. Like you said don’t over tighten. Use common sense. When using additives deduct for the amount of additive for oil you are adding. Dip Stick will let you know anyway. I have never taken rhe wheel off to change the oil but I like this method and will try it. I like to rotate tires during oil changes anyway so not an extra step for me. Thanks for the video.
The only thing with running it down the street to warm it up is that puts oil thru the system and it takes a bit for it to all run and drip back down into the pan. Personally I always change when it's been parked overnight. That way any and all oil that can run down into the pan has had plenty of time to do so. Lubing the gasket I have started doing recently but I've never had one bind up on me yet but there's almost always some oil around it on the block when I thread it on so it's not rubber to dry surface. As for the sea foam or additives, the few ounces added isn't enough volume to really change the reading on the dipstick. 1 ounce per quart. 5 ounces in a 5 quarts is miniscule.
🔥
Beautiful!
The Triton V10 is the only V10 engine that sounds like a V8.
Your car is similar to the GMC Envoy.
Yes, same thing really. Different visual appearance but same drive train and suspension
back when mud grapps weren’t a trend 🥲
I have an 09 infiniti g37, my ac blews hot air when its really hot here in Florida when i am actually driving, my car, however when the weather is cooler it will blow cooler air not cold air like it should. I had freon in it but not the way you showed how to do it, could that be the problem or could i have a leak?Help
Sounds like the compressor isn't working at all. Naturally cooler weather will result in cooler air, however if it wasn't filled properly that could also be the issue. I'd try filling it just like I did in this video, then locate the ac compressor and have someone turn it on and see if the clutch on front of the compressor engages. If it does not engage then you need a new compressor.
Also if everything checks out and the compressor clutch does engage then you can buy some refrigerant with dye in it, add some of that and run it through the system and next day check everything with a black light. If it's leaking the dye will glow green under the black light
Part of me now wants to see how a 5.9 magnum v8 2500 would have done in comparison, i saw your video with the v10 magnum that was insane too
The 360 doesn't have really anything on the 8.0 or 5.7 hemi
@@MistrMopar yeah, stock power wasn’t there for it definitely, i can see maybe if it was built and modded which would cost money and at that point be considered a modified class
Thank bro just got mine up and running after a year mine needs this in this summer heat lol
My 08 g35 sedan ac only blows hot idk where to start. Changed compressor nothing. Refilled Freon nothing. Changed the Ipdm by the battery. Nothing. What do I do
Get a can of refrigerant with the uv dye in it and run that through the system and then pressure test it. This would be assuming you've confirmed the new compressor is good and the clutch is engaging and checked fuses. After the dye runs through you can use a black light and check everything. The dye will glow and you'll know where/if it's leaking. That's where I'd start.
Would this work for the FX37?
Same idea on all vehicles just be sure you're charging into the correct port
Does the car have to be running?
Yes, running AC on coldest setting and fan on max speed
Thank you, its pretty easy I see. I was about to take my truck to the shop.
Very quick simple job. Glad to hear it's helpful! You can definitely do it
Unfortunately I have the 5

Still a sweet ride. The 7 speed was introduced in 2009.

Thanks my wireing harness caught fire on passenger side so thanks helps me alot
Glad to hear it! You're welcome. Any battery from a power tool will work, I just use Dewalt tools.
so i’ve been looking at this car to purchase for awhile, i have really one question, how reliable is this car? because i’m young and i was going to put a loan on it and i just want to know if it’s worth the loan
It really comes down to maintenance and how the car has been treated throughout its lifetime. I have 192xxx miles on mine and it runs and drives like new but it's been well maintained and taken care of.
Very cool ty
You're welcome
Is happening in my country now in rosemount Minnesota
Bleed it ?
If by bleed it you mean burp the air out of the system, that's a different process.
How do we know it’s Bose sound system
Do youtubers make such videos and lie about what they're showing?
All the speakers say Bose on the covers. I went to the junkyard to get parts and noticed the Bose cars have giant 10inch subwoofers in them and 6.5 speakers such an upgrade from the shitty stock system lol now I’m mad
Dont ever underestimate the lq4 6.0. Its a little beast.
Thank you for taking one for the team. All you do is take this off and ill prolly never find it again. 🤣 Simple maintenance sometimes you just gotta youtube it. Thank you. I got swamp ass
Never did either 🤦♂️🤷♂️🤣
I had a 1970 with a 360 fe and a 3 on the tree the engine was rated at 178 hp at 3600 RPM the only thing was the engine would turn a lot more than 3600 rpm lol
It’s 2024 and I’m leaving 2022 srt’s off the jump in an 09 g37x
Damn right! I had a new Camaro pull up on me a couple weeks ago, pretty sure it was a V6 but nonetheless you could hear he was not stock. I let him get beside me, pushed it into manual slap shift, we were at 25, I dropped into 1st, matted it and literally chirped all 4 when I went into 2nd and brought that Camaro straight to gapplebees. I'm happy for 191xxx miles and a bone stock engine 💪
Bro I got same g37 2009 with 210k miles. Really great car. I thought just my car had loud cold start
Mine used to bark on a cold start, sounded good but loud. Turned out I had a small leak around the flex pipe. In my other videos I have a cold start clip and that was before getting the flex pipe fixed.
Check this out. If yours sounds the same, it's got a leak. Honestly I wish I'd have left it alone because it sounded really good but it wouldn't pass inspection with the exhaust leak so I fixed it. ruclips.net/user/shortsUMMTCKAjP3k?feature=share
clutch!
I knew it wouldn’t be close. It looked like he took off early. But he didn’t.
I have 2 and love them
Big block Ford and Chevy always against a small block Plymouth.
Recently just got an Xterra as my first ever vehicle. I appreciate this a lot!
Glad to be of help! I have a tutorial on the oil change also if you need! Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate that.
That’s an impressive pull numbers. I wonder what broke
I don't think anything broke. I'm not sure what the noise was but he drove off just fine and I didn't hear anything about it breaking.
apply a little bearing grease to nut then put it in socket, this will help hold it in and not loose it when you try to put it in😉 Thanks for the video!!
Thanks
